Since 1985 Ray Bullen and Associates has developed hundreds of Excel solutions for clients as part of its Consulting division. These assignments cover a whole array of industries and activities and clients range from small organisations through to top 40 companies listed on the stock exchange.

A number of the assignments have a financial theme where data is extracted from various accounting systems or databases and the information is summarised and presented in dashboard, graphical and/or management reporting packs. These assignments have typically involved Visual Basic macros to automate these repetitive processes to free users from these mundane tasks.

Quite often the Excel Consulting and Development is improving an existing spreadsheet that a client has already developed where they need some more “smarts” in the spreadsheet (ie difficult formulas, automatically highlighting cells that don’t meet certain criteria, etc) or automating some tasks with a macro. These assignments are generally only a small cost because the main design work has already been done by the client. One major benefit to the client is that by working closely with us it opens their eyes to the potential of Excel and generally results in additional improvements that the client was unaware that could be achieved in Excel.
